Club Q Team Development

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — Club Q is taking steps to build an advisory and development team to help organize, guide and lead the projects that will usher Club Q into its next chapter.

We are pleased to announce that Michael Anderson has joined our team in an administrative role. He will be working directly with Club Q owner, Matthew Haynes. Michael first joined the Club Q team during COVID as a bar-back. He moved back to his home state of Florida for a year, but upon returning to Colorado in September, he joined the staff as a bartender. He was also contracted to host our weekly karaoke show on Thursday nights. He is pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, with a minor focus in Mass Media.

He was bartending the night of the deadly attack on Club Q, and was the sole surviving bartender from that shift. Since the attack, he has been a vocal activist in speaking on the tragedy, advocating for gun reform changes and equality for the LGBTQ community. Following the horrific attack, he was invited to testify to the Congressional House Oversight Committee, to attend a White House event, where President Biden signed the Respect of Marriage Act into law and attend the annual White House Holiday Party, where he had the privilege of meeting with President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden.

We are excited about this partnership together and look forward to what the future holds for Club Q.
